Ensures machine compliance to the rigorous EN15746 standards.

In 2013 Network Rail UK introduced stringent Any Line Open (ALO) working regulations as part of their review of RIS1530 (issue 6). The new standard intended to minimise the risk of maintenance operators working adjacent to a live (open) rail line.

In response to this, James Fisher Prolec has developed products specifically for road-rail Vehicle’s (RRV’s) working ALO and OLE (Overhead Live Equipment). In compliance to the code, PMERail (ALO/OLE) slows the machine when approaching a “virtual wall” (watch the PMERail virtual wall video).

Naturally, the components remain failsafe and are fully compliant to the code including a fully redundant hydraulic block which provides consistent and repeatable control compared with alternative products that leave the hydraulics to the individual installer. Having a James Fisher Prolec ALO and OLE compliant RRV means you can work right to the edge of your safe zone and stop reliably every time, safeguarding your assets and ensuring full compliance to the relevant regulations and standards.

For more information about the Network Rail approved, PMERail (ALO), please read the PMERail (ALO) user manual.
