Compliance for construction equipment is twofold: making your machine safe and making it legal. The two work together but meeting one doesn't guarantee the other.

Each task undertaken by your equipment will be covered by differing design and operating codes. At Prolec we understand how to navigate these codes, apply them correctly, and to allow the functionality in your machine to be available across its full, safe, operating range.

Of course, Prolec's priority is to keep you and your machine safe providing the hardware and interfaces to allow you to know when you're approaching the safe limits of the machine's operation. This can be achieved a lot of ways and many companies promote their solution; some not much better than tying a rope around the moving parts and some being extraordinarily sophisticated. All keep your machine "safe" but not necessarily in compliance with design codes and local operating laws.

Design guidelines for construction equipment promote a raft of codes/standards and notified bodies that must be satisfied prior to the machine being compliant with these directives. In Europe alone there are more than 7 separate codes and around 4 times as many sub codes that must be followed so that the safety system on your machine meets standards and, importantly, can be shown to meet standards. Very few companies providing construction machine safety solutions meet these standards and can show this with approvals from the relevant bodies. Prolec does and Prolec can.
