Prolec's AS8 Angle Sensor sets new standards for angle monitoring. The AS8 is the most accurate angle sensor available in the Prolec sensor range and is ideal for safety critical machine control applications.

The AS8 angle sensor utilises advanced optical technology in an innovative application to provide highly accurate and reliable angle information.

The sensor uses CAN2.0B communication technology and is software configurable to meet any angle monitoring application. The CAN2.0B communication technology provides the AS8 angle sensor with an intelligent means of communicating measured angles and any monitored fault conditions for system diagnostics and maintenance.

Encased in an extremely robust enclosure, the AS8 angle sensor can be further protected in marine use via rugged hose protected cables.

The AS8 angle sensor maintains compatibility with all new Prolec CAN products and can be used with any combination of sensors, displays and interface boxes providing ultimate flexibility.

Measuring range ±180º.
Resolution 0.09º.
Accuracy ±0.09º over entire operating temperature range (-20° to +60°C).
