Machine Guidance: 3D Systems

Digmaster Pro 3D is a machine guidance grade control system that brings the job into the cab.  A digital terrain model (DTM) or digital site design of the project is uploaded into a computer and displayed to the operator. Precision sensors are used to monitor the position of the bucket or blade to give presice grade control, and with the addition of a positioning sensor such as GNSS, the machine's position is shown accurately (and in real time) within the design model. This ensures that the operator knows exactly what he needs to do and where he is on the jobsite. More sophisticated 3D products such as pcX-3D even record the work progress versus plan.
